The Biobank Research Ethics Committee (TCBio) will meet every 2 weeks on Monday, instead of monthly. This reduces the lag time between meetings. The duration of the meetings will be reduced accordingly. This means that fewer proposals can be discussed in each meeting. As of January 2021, the deadline has been moved to 8 am on Monday, one week before the meeting instead of 10 days. This reduces the time between receipt of the proposal and discussion by the committee. In principle, the outcome of the committee meeting will be send to researchers the same week.

One of the aims of these changes is to reduce the duration of the review process.
